The destination is the ‘Cooloola Section’ of ‘The Great Sandy National Park’ (which also takes in ‘Fraser Island’). Our tours offer a real ALTERNATIVE to a Fraser Island day tour, from Queenslands’ Sunshine Coast. The Half Day Beachcomber Tour, is especially suited to people who do not want a full day out. In only 5 hours, we have ample time to visit the unique Coloured Sands, the remains of the ‘Cherry Venture’ shipwreck and spectacular ‘Double Island Point’ and Heritage Listed lighthouse. Our Full Day Rainforest and Coloured Sands Beach Safari travels through a wide variety of eco-systems including coastal heath-land, sand dunes, open woodland and tranquil rainforest in the ‘Cooloola Region’. With a Noosa area departure of 8.30 am and a return of approximately 4.30 pm, this easy 8-hour tour is suitable for most ages. (Most Fraser Island tours depart around 6.30 am to return by 5.30 pm.) The cost of our full day tour is excellent value, with a saving of around 35% compared to most Fraser Island tours.
